Superstar
actress Julie Estelle once again plays Samantha for this second sequel,
the exceptional conclusion to Rizal Mantovani's THE
CHANTING trilogy. After the Mangkojiwo Devil Clan are destroyed
in a bloody, horrific massacre [at the conclusion of #2], Samantha vows
to put an end to the curse that took her to the darkside. She embarks
on a mission into the jungles of Ujung Sedo where she plans to confront
the evil Kuntilanak forces. Meanwhile, a young couple - Stella and Rimson
- have recently disappeared from Ujung Sedo where they went for a camping
weekend. A group of friends organize a search party and head into the
jungle. Enroute, they meet Samantha who agrees to join them. But it's
clear that she has a different agenda. In the Ujung Sedo jungles, demons
set one trap after another to capture and torture the intruders.

Cult director Rizal Mantovani (WATERFALL
OF PENGANTIN and the WATERFALL
sequel) continues to make the best horror films in Indonesia. This
2008 release was the biggest Indonesian film of the year. It would conclude
Mantovani's trilogy, but a decade later he would return to the creatures
with Kuntilanak 2018.
