Superstar
actress Julie Estelle is back, once again playing Samantha in the sequel
to Rizal Mantovani's THE
CHANTING.
After escaping the deadly Kuntilanak [as well as killing the head of
the bloodthirsty Mangkojiwo Devil Cult], college girl Samantha moves
from her old haunted boarding house. But she is different now. Evil
is growing in her soul. She no longer has qualms over 'chanting' to
summon the Kuntilanak to kill anybody who threatens her, from a rape-minded
taxi-driver to her good-intentioned friend. Meanwhile, the Mangkojiwo
cult wants to bring Samantha into their ranks [since she seems to be
the only person left who can control the Kuntilanak] and they need the
creature to rid their enemies and secure more wealth. But Samantha's
boyfriend, Agung, tries desperately to rid her of the blackness and
fight against the encroaching evil.
