A college
professor named Kawazu has gone to the rural Japanese mountainside to
conduct research for a book. He has also brought his wife along as he
was hoping to rekindle his broken marriage at the same time. But very
soon, Mayumi receives an emergency phone call from home informing her
of daughter Hai's appendix inflammation and she must return. Kawzu is
left alone at the isolated cabin. Later that night - in the middle of
a torrential thunderstorm - two rain-soaked girls come to his door looking
for help. He welcomes them inside. Before he knows what has happened,
Kawazu is brutally victimized, raped, sexually tortured and blackmailed
by these two vicious young women.
In
a story remarkably similar to Manuel Esteban's VICIOUS
AND NUDE, director Yasuchi Koshizaka manages to elevate the
narrative by keeping the girls in a shroud of mystery, girls who may
- or may not - have something to do with a brutal 'Jack the Ripper style'
serial sex-killer in the area. Filmmaker Koshizaka is well-known to
fans of Japanese exploitation cinema through his S&M thrillers MISSING
66 and MISSING
77. He is also the man behind the NAKED
BATTLE ROYALE franchise.
