In this award-winning chiller by Rizal Mantovani, the undisputed Indonesian horror maestro, a rather dysfunctional family moves to a house in the rural area outside Jakarta. As the parents bicker, their youngest daughter goes missing. She has been abducted by a supernatural creature that preys on unhappy children. This traditional Indo monster is called the WeWe.

Rizal Mantovani came to motion pictures through music videos, helming more than 400 in Indonesia between 1992-1998. He knows how to get the most from a camera. Quite simply he remains one of the very best horror directors working in Asian cinema today. He is best known for THE CHANTING, a huge hit series starring Julie Estelle, VIRGIN BEACH CREATURE, WATERFALL OF PENGANTIN and the WATERFALL sequel.

Interestingly, the star of this film is Nabilah Ratna Ayu Azalia [better known as Nabilah JKT48] after performing with the Indonesia girl/idol singing group JKT48.
