The
Fully Uncut International Version (95 Minutes!)
original
Japanese title SAKURA HIME [Princess Sakura]
director: Hajime
Hashimoto
starring: Kyoko Hinami · Munetaka Aoki · Yu Tokui · Masashi Goda

Here
is the frenzied journey of a rebellious princess, moonlighting in a
brothel, to find the tattooed thief who raped her and stole a coveted
family tablet. Director Hashimoto is determined to celebrate the golden
age of sexy Japanese female-warrior movies (ie, SEX
AND FURY,
PRINCESS BLADE,
AZUMI, LADY
SNOWBLOOD) with this project. It's loaded with an abundance
of unique ideas [including Princess Sakura's warp into present day Tokyo,
an appearance from the devil himself in a fur coat, an ex-monk who gains
superpowers after getting struck by lightning but it hampers his ability
to fuck] plus the sexy stuff is sometimes erotic and often sadistic.
Dark humor flows while geysers of blood spurt every direction during
the swordplay. Yes, this is quintessential cult cinema.
Filmmaker
Hajime Hashimoto has been directing since 1999, concentrating mostly
on television projects in the beginning of his career. This was his
first major theatrical production. It was followed a year later by the
S&M hit FLOWER
AND SNAKE 2014.
