This
Derek Ford project (one of his final films) was shot in Sweden and features
members of Easy Action, a popular heavy metal rock band from
that country in a supporting role. This band travels into the frozen,
snowy north country to shoot a music video. They decide an old abandoned
factory is the perfect location. But everybody soon discovers they are
not alone. A family of mutants (similar to THE
HILLS HAVE EYES) has taken refuge in the condemned building,
living for years inside the old furnaces. When the band members, video
crew and groupies start wandering around, these freaks are now ready
to protect their territory with a bloody vengeance
Derek
Ford began his career as a scriptwriter, establishing himself in 1964
with BLACK
TORMENT, a horror film for Robert Hartford-Davis and then a
handful of screenplays for Roger Moore's TV series The Saint.
His debut movie was GROUPIE
GIRL, afterwhich he drifted deeper into the exploitation market
with the hardcore project DIVERSIONS.
Mr Ford died from a heart attack at age 62 in May 1995.
