Here is another
gut-wrenching true story of the torture, rape and murder of Japanese girl
Junko Furuta, preceded by CONCRETE-ENCASED
HIGH SCHOOL GIRL MURDER CASE (1995) by Katsuya Matsumur [director
of the ALL
NIGHT LONG
series 1-6], Gunji Kawasaki's JUVENILE CRIME
(1997) and CONCRETE
(2004) from new filmmaker Hiromu Nakamura.
What separates
this recent film from the previous Japanese productions is - while the
tragic story of Junko Furuta remains the same - this one is a Hindu movie
shot in India by prolific exploitation director Anhinan Thakur. The story
is based on a horrific torture/murder case in Japan (November 1988 to
January 1989). A 17 year old female high school student, Junko, was abducted
by four male delinquents and confined to a small one-room apartment. Junko
was repeatedly raped, sexually humiliated and tortured before finally
dying during a severe beating. The boys hid her corpse in a waste-drum
near the sea shore. NOTICE: While this film
is somewhat constricted by India's conservative censorship laws, director
Thakur pushes his movie to the limit. It is recommended
only for adults 18+.
