The
adventures of Eva Man and Ajita continue in this sequel to the original
cult hit EVA
MAN. The plot is similar, with essentially the same cast, in
this story of an extremist militant organization mounting an offensive
to steal the 'love gun' developed by Professor Popov. As with
the first film, the professor has created the love gun, a major peace
weapon [designed to replace aggressive behavior with an instant
desire for making love]. When Professor Popov is kidnapped with the
weapon, his assistant Eva and her friend Ajita attempt to find the bad
guys and save the day.
Eva
is a woman, Eva is a man. Eva (Eva Coatti aka Eva Robins) is a hermaphrodite
who initially found fame with Antonio D'Agostina's masterwork CEREMONY
OF THE SENSES in 1979. They continued to work together in the
aforementioned EVA
MAN two years later. Both of those films were Italian productions.
When it came time for an Eva Man sequel, Antonio decided to be
part of the new cinematic sexual freedom in Spain (after the death of
dictator President Franco) and shoot the 'Certificate S' film
there while taking advantage of considerable tax incentives for making
Spanish product. To satisfy certain government requirements, the movie
was credited to co-director (a Spaniard named Zacarias Urbiola) but
Antonio D'Agostina has since admitted privately that it was mostly his
brainchild.
A Spanish
film with optional English subtitles; fullscreen format,
(80 min.), DVD encoded for ALL REGION NTSC, playable on any
