The queen
of Balsorano Castle has a daughter named Baby Love. Sadly, Queen Regina
has fallen on hard times - caused mostly by her philandering, wasteful
husband - which has left the castle in ruins. She decides to sell Baby
Love to the highest bidder in a secret auction. There are four men interested
in acquiring Baby Love: a Chinese, an American, a Russian and a Sicilian.
Each of them want the virginal teenager and are utterly insane with lust
for the girl. However, Baby Love has her own agenda. She decides to trick
the bidders and seduce her mother's young lover instead. The betrayal
leads to complete mayhem inside Balsorano Castle culminating in catfights,
bizarre retribution, lesbian sex, orgies and even S&M whip sessions.
When
Rino Di Silvestro died (of cancer) in 2009, exploitation cinema lost one
of its greatest trash filmmakers. He was a writer/director who specialized
in extremely raw, graphic and, (yes, without a doubt) offensive low-brow
Grindhouse fare. Mr Di Silvestro claimed to have ghostwritten over 200
screenplays before breaking into filmmaking as the director for WOMEN
IN CELL BLOCK 7 (1973). He also helmed such Grindhouse blockbusters
as PROSTITUZIONE,
WEREWOLF
WOMAN, HANNA
D: GIRL FROM VODEL PARK and EROTIC
DREAMS OF CLEOPATRA. However, this film, BABY DOLL,
is the zenith of his twisted sense of trashy erotica. It was based on
his own risqué play (called Op Bop Pop Nip) which
he originally wrote for his avant-garde Sicilian theater troupe in the
mid Sixties. To this day, it remains one of the sleaziest stories in Euro
Cinema.
