This
is an insane zombie movie by Rodrigo Aragão and possibly the strongest,
goriest movie ever made. The story somehow mixes the lives of simple people
in a poor fishing village with a corrupt politician, the militia, a cabaret/brothel,
and a bevy of prostitutes into a tale of utter mayhem.
Today, Rodrigo Aragão is the major driving force for horror cinema
in Brazil. His films, starting with MUD
ZOMBIESand NIGHT
OF THE CHUPACABRAS, are immediately reminiscent of the Italian
productions of the '70s and '80s. This project was made shortly after
CHUPACABRAS. Among his rabid fans, Rodrigo is probably best known for
CEMETERY
OF LOST SOULS.
