While
hunting, Salih is accidentally shot in the head. He's on the brink of
death but continues to live. Doctors can't operate [due to the impending
danger] and the bullet remains lodged in his brain. Completely paralyzed,
he has lost his sanity. Friends abandon him. His best friend (of 13 years),
Metin, is now engaged to his former sweetheart. Salih and demented mother
Aysun seek vengeance against all the detached acquaintances through a
secret form of black magic.
SICCIN
Director Alper Mestçi - again using the evil curse formula
delivered so effectively in the previous BLACK
MAGIC and BLACK
MAGIC: THE CURSE - continues to turn Turkish Cinema on its head.
Here is another slick, accomplished and [yes] scary horror movie that
demands International attention among genre thriller fans. This one has
the extra advantage of starring the two current Turkish IT
girls, Ceren Yilmaz (as Arzu) and Simge Uluer (Sermin), both from hugely
successful middle eastern television series.
A Turkish
film, with optional English subtitles; widescreen format, 91 minutes,
