Magda
Konopka is Anti-Hero Satanik, based on a '60s French Comic Book
director:
Piero Vivarelli
starring: Magda Konopka · Julio Pena · Umberto Raho · Luigi Montini ·
Mirella Pamphili
Based on a French
comic of the same name, popular in the 1960s. This one was directed by
entertainment veteran Piero Vivarelli who found fame as a scriptwriter
for the legendary Spaghetti Western DJANGO
(1966) and then later for Joe D'Amato's EMANUELLE
IN AMERICA (1976). Polish-born actress Magda Konopka was chosen
for this role due to her remarkable pop-art modeling reputation; she also
starred in WHEN
DINOSAURS RULED THE EARTH (1970) and BLINDMAN
(1971).
The plot deals with female Dr Marnie Bannister who suffers from a medical
disorder causing her to age rapidly and become quite hideous. She is working
with Professor Greaves who's invented a formula proven to regenerate cells
in laboratory animals. Dr Bannister demands that he use the formula on
her. He refuses and is killed for it. After snatching the potion and drinking
it down, she transforms into a leggy beauty. Immediately, Ms Bannister
enters a life of crime - seducing and duping sex-starved men - but as
these type of films tend to go, the formula has only temporary effects
and she must kill to keep her youthful appearance.
