This Hammer Studios
production was the sequel to their wildly successful "ONE MILLION
YEARS B.C." It was originally planned as an adult-oriented project
with nudity and love scenes. At the last moment, print was edited and
the movie got released as G-Rated fare. Now, the R-Rated version can finally
be seen! This special, limited package contains both the G and R-Rated
prints of the movie.
Set in the ancient
past - before the moon existed - when humans and dinosaurs lived together,
a small tribe is struggling to survive by giving a sacrifice of blond
women to their god, the sun, in return for protection from the dinosaurs
and other creatures that prey on them. Blonde girl Sanna, one of the sacrificial
offerings, finds herself free from slaughter when a freak storm interrupts
the ceremony. As she searches for a safe haven, Sanna finds a rival tribe
and discovers some good stuff (like a boyfriend) lots of bad stuff (like
jealous females and deadly dinosaurs).
A British
production; two films on two discs: "G-Rated" (91 minutes) and
"R-Rated" (110 minutes); widescreen (16:9), intro to both versions
in English language (caveman language throughout both films), DVDs encoded
for ALL REGIONS NTSC, playable on any American machine. Extras include
"World of Hammer" feature and trailers.
