A
young medical student assumes the identity of a dead man in order to solve
the mustery of a weird doppleganger. traveling from circus sideshows to
a desolate island, he discovers a web-fingered madman who surgically remakes
normal human beings into misshapen monsters. With this film and his earlier
one, BLIND
WOMAN'S CURSE, director Ishii dabbled briefly in the horror genre
before continuing with his erotic S&M fare.
