kid Albert has been institutionalized for trying to kill his mother.
He rapes a nurse and kills his caretaker before managing to escape.
Albert goes looking for his mother, complaining that "she's a whore
and not pure enough." Instead, he comes across the housekeeper
whom he taunts and kills. When Albert meets the woman's 11 year-old
daughter Annie, they form an immediate bond and he takes her away. For
once he's met a girl who is pure and innocent, but he violent sexual
urges are raging.
This
was the debut film for director Paul Leder, a former actor and singer
on Broadway (best known for co-starring with Phil Silvers in the hit
musical Top Banana). After the revival of Gay Paree closed
in 1969, he turned to low budget filmmaking, helming 20+ movies until
poor health forced his retirement in early 1996. Mr Leder died from
lung cancer in April of that year.
