Sergio Bergonzelli Spaghetti Western with William Berger
starring: William Berger · George Wang · Antonella Murgia
· Tom Felleghy · Nino Vingelli · Cristiana Gajoni
hell breaks loose when the sheriff of Calabasas leaves town on official
business. His deputy, in cahoots with a Mexican gang, plots to rob the
local bank. But Cisco beats them to it. He hides the money and - because
he now has a price on his head - Cisco pays a doctor to declare that
he is, in fact, dead. But the plan fails when the deputy and a bandit
dig open Cisco's grave and find nothing. Cisco must then come out of
hiding and facade the two in a showdown before revealing his ultimate
secret. In the meantime, his girlfriend has also been tortured mercilessly
by the town bad guys.
Bergonzelli helmed 28 projects between 1960-1990, beginning his career
- like so many other cult directors - with Spaghetti Westerns like this
one. By the end of the sixties he had diverted to youth-movement thrillers.
Often his movies would embrace elements of the hippie culture (CRISTIANA
SCANDALOUS COED) and nunsploitation (OUR
LADY OF LUST). Sometimes he would use the Serge Bergon alias
for his erotic films (ie.,JOY).
He retired from the movie business shortly after BLOOD
DELIRIUM when his health began to fail. Mr Bergonzelli died
from a heart attack in September 2002. He was 78.
