UNDERNEATH, here is the story of a group of models who are invited
to a party thrown by a rich studio pervert. One of the models, Sylvia,
is targeted for rape and gets sexually brutalized in the spa-tub. Afterwards,
she abruptly leaves. Three hours later Sylvia is found dead a few miles
away. Her sister - clandestinely - investigates.
Director
Piana graduated from Brera Art Academy in Milan Italy. Throughout the
early '80s, he worked as a comic book / storyboard illustrator before
moving into television commercials. He has helmed over 650 advertisements,
shown worldwide. Mr Piana made this film in 1988 while he was in the advertising
racket. Still active in commercial production today (winning both Cannes
Silver Lions and the coveted Clio awards), he has since moved to Hollywood
where he also flirts with motion pictures. In 2006 Mr Piana directed DEATHS
OF IAN STONE and he did a sequel for the Lost Boys
franchise in 2009.
Florence
Guerin has made 50+ movies - including many genre favorites (i.e., CORRUPTION
(TYhe Maid), Jess Franco's PREDATORS
OF THE NIGHT, Mario Garrazzo'sATTRACTION,
et al) - since her first major apearance in THE
CLICK (1983). After a automobile accident in May 1998 - which
resulted in a lengthy coma, numerous surgeries and the death of her only
son, five year old Nicolas - she returned to acting under the name of
Florence Nicolas. She is still active today.
