A 1000 Foot Snake Wrecks Havoc on Hong Kong!
Original Hong Kong
title: DAAI
SE WONG also known as TERROR SERPENT
director: Godfrey Ho (as Charles Lee) with Hsu Yu-Lung
starring: Pierre Kirby · Edowan Bersmea · Danny Railsbeck
· Danny Lee · Dewey Bosworth · Carol Chang
A secret formula
called the Thunder Project (which causes plants and animals to
grow a thousand-fold in size) is stolen by a terrorist group in Hong Kong.
A wild chase ensues; the formula is lost. A little girl named Ting-Ting
finds it and accidentally gives it to her pet snake. The snake begins
to grow. Soon it has transmuted to an immense size, but still follows
the girl and wants to protect her. When the terrorists discover Ting-Ting
has the formula, they go after her. The snake retaliates by destroying
everything in its path to save her.
Prolific Industry
technician Chi Keung Ho - better known as Godfrey Ho - directed very few
complete movies (his CANNIBAL
MERCENARY is an exception). Usually he would shoot a bit of footage
and then mix it with archived scenes to flush out a whole film (i.e.,NINJA
THUNDERBOLT,GHOST
NINJA, et al). Often this resulted in jarring continuity
problems. In the case of this movie, the lion's share [especially the
serpent segments] seems to be original with Ho. It's anybody's guess where
the Danny Lee and Pierre Kirby footage came from.
A Hong
Kong film in English language with Greek subtitles; fullscreen format
