Here is a
Mexican SciFi/Monster/Western/Musical/Horror film that is mandatory viewing
for any fan of Cult Cinema. Two women from Venus - Gama and Beta - are
sent on a mission to find breeders after all the men have been wiped from
their planet. They soon land on Earth and get mixed up with a Mexican
cowboy who's prone to expressing himself with song and who falls in love
with one of the women. Their rocket is also filled with space monsters
[a giant tiki with an exposed brain, a spider, a cyclops, a living saber-toothed
tiger skeleton and a robot] and they get lose. Pandemonium ensues.
Lorena Velazquez
is particularly striking as Beta, one of the alien women. After 125+ films
(since 1955), Lorena is still active, starring mostly in Mexican television
today. She holds the lead role of Corina in Amores Con Trampa
[Love with Cheating, 2015+] but she is best known for WRESTLING
WOMEN VS THE AZTEC MUMMY and SANTO
VS THE VAMPIRE WOMEN.
