In this Italian
variation of One Thousand and One Nights, a powerful sultan
is unable to achieve an erection with his new harem girl (Femi Benussi).
His advisors suggest that he bring in three storytellers to stimulate
him with sexy tales. In the first tale, a sultan is jealous of the town
playboy and tests his prowess by putting him in a dark room to see if
he can identify several town girls sent in to have sex with him. But the
experiment goes horribly awry. The second story is a variation of 'Aladdin
and the Genie,' but this time Aladdin is horny young guy who simply
wants to have sex with the wife of a rich merchant. He tries to impress
her with his magic carpet but it doesn't work out as he planned. The third
tale centers on a cruel princess who executes a man if he can't satisfy
her thirteen times in one night. A stud - Ray O'Connor doing an excellent
Clint Eastwood impersonation - takes on the challenge.
This is an
odd venture for Antonio Margheriti, a filmmaker generally accepted as
one of the ten best European Cult directors. He made 60 movies between
1960 and 2000 and is best known for the very quirky Spaghetti Western
STRANGER
AND THE GUNFIGHTER (which also starred Femi Benussi) and the notorious
horror film CANNIBAL
APOCALYPSE.Mr Margheriti died from heart failure at age 72 in
November 2002..
