Lisa Baumer
receives 1 million dollars from her husband's life insurance plan after
he's killed in a mysterious airplane disaster. Several people suspect
Lisa of foul play, including a junkie lover with a blackmail agenda, her
husband's mistress Lara who feels entitled to some of the money, and -
of course - insurance investigator Peter Lynch. But when Lisa is murdered
after cashing her check (and the money goes missing), the case becomes
much more complicated.

is best known for his Italian thrillers (especially ALL
