THREE "JOY" MOVIES TOGETHER
Triple Feature: Three Complete Films on 3 DVDs
Two: JOY AND JOAN (1985)
Three: JOY AND THE PHARAOHS
Bergonzelli (as Serge Bergon)
starring: Claudia Udy · Gérard-Antoine Huart · Agnès
Torrent · Elisabeth Mortensen · Claire Nadeau
best known for his excessively quirky exploitation films (i.e., BLOOD
LADY OF LUST and IN
THE FOLDS OF THE FLESH) delivers a movie which could be described
as a more inspired version of the Emmanuelle projects. It's
based on the popular novels of Joy Laurey (supposedly a pseudonym for
an American supermodel who wrote numerous European tell-all books) and
it revolves around the exploits of a model who is dating a rock musician
but then madly falls in love with an older man. As her modeling gig becomes
more successful, she delves into motion pictures and finds herself starring
in a movie shot in NYC. Despite lots of temptation, she stays (more or
less) faithful to her lover but then discovers that he prefers that she
enjoys multiple partners while he watches.
French/Italian film; widescreen (16:9), fully uncut (102 minutes) in DVD
encoded for All Regions NTSC, playable on any American DVD machine; in
French language with English subtitles.

lovers and flees to Asian, into the arms (and bed) of a gorgeous tour
guide named Joan.

AND THE PHARAOHS (1993)
director: Jean-Pierre Garnier (as Jean-Pierre Floran)
starring: Zara Whites · Beatrice Valle · Philippe Dumond
· Frank James · Ange Denard
Zara White(s)' name
may be familiar to some as she starred in numerous (40+) adult porn films
in the late '80s-early '90s. She retired from the genre in '91, only to
re-emerge as Kleopatra for Garnier's erotic opus a few years later. Here,
she plays Joy - an International fashion model - starring in an unconventional
adaptation of the Cleopatra legend. Most of the movie takes place in historic
times. It includes her meeting and seduction of Julius Cesar, the notorious
sex orgy with Marc Anthony and her S&M flirtation with the union between
pain and pleasure.
A French film; fullscreen
(4:3), uncut (88 minutes) in DVD encoded for ALL REGION NTSC, playable
on any American DVD machine; in English language.
