Detective
Tien Yu-Sha and his team get into a showdown with rogue colleague Kao
and chase him into a banana plantation. A shootout ensues which results
in accidentally releasing a beautiful ghost called Lotus. She saves Detective
Yu-Sha's life and then follows him home. This causes trouble with his
job and with his materialistic girlfriend, Lily. His new relationship
with the ghost - not surprisingly - becomes strained quickly, especially
after a sleazy Taoist monk is determined to capture Lotus.
Director
Chow has made a quirky, supernatural thriller comedy here. He is, perhaps,
better known for his rougher Category III films like HORRIBLE
HIGH HEELS and FATAL
LOVE.
