Claudio Fragasso (better know by his alias Clyde Anderson) delivers a
good haunted house film, part Poltergeist and part Exorcist.
Claudio is probably more closely associated with Bruno Mattei, often working
as his assistant director (STRIKE
COMMANDO, ZOMBI
3, SCALPS,
HELL
OF THE LIVING DEAD, et al). He also made the surprisingly good
AFTER
DEATH, the year before this one, in 1989.
A minister
and his unsuspecting family move into a house that is possessed with supernatural
symptoms (it's never explained why this Protestant minister is under guidance
by the Catholic Church, go figure). Not surprisingly, terrible evil
dead things happened at the house years before and now threaten the
new family. Father Peter teams up with an ex-priest to take on the forces
of evil.
