Enzo
G Castellari helms a tense, sleazy Italian-Made Giallo
Original
Italian Title: MOMENTOS DI DISPERA (Desperate Moments)
Alternate Italian Title: GLI OCCHI FREDDI DELLA PAURA (The Cold
Eyes of Fear)
director: Enzo G Castellari
starring: Frank Wolff · Fernando Rey · Gianni Garko ·
Giovanni Ralli · Karin Schubert
After
an evening at an adult nightclub, respectable lawyer Peter Flower (played
by Spaghetti Western star Gianni Garko of SARTANA fame) picks up a prostitute
named Anna. From the club, Peter takes her back to his Uncle's place.
Soon, they discover they're not alone. A gunman named Quill has broken
into the home and plans to take revenge against the entire Flower family.
This maniac, just out from prison, is looking for revenge against the
man who sent him there, Judge Juez Flower, Peter's Uncle.
It's
directed by popular Spaghetti Western filmmaker Enzo G Castelliari,
best known for JONATHAN
OF THE BEARS and KEOMA
(among others), but he's not a stranger to other Euro genres. For example,
his KYRA,
from 1979, remains one of the remarkable sleazy ghost thrillers.
