Simona is tired of her boring marriage. In fact - even though she still loves husband Marco - she feels the desperate need to find someone else or something else to spice her life. One day Simona is brutally raped and something snaps inside. She craves the excitement and the danger of rough sex. As a result, she gets more and more involved in dangerous relations with unknown men. As her third wedding anniversary draws closer, Simona begins to fear that the spark with her husband has totally extinguished. She begins to develop a deep yearning to leave Marco's safety-net and experience the wild and exciting impact of the unknown.

Some critics have condemned this film for going too far. Seldom has any movie embraced this dark side of sexual relations. After this project, Serena Grandi would concentrate more on lighter sex comedies (i.e., What Every French Woman Wants) and Italian thrillers (Lamberto Bava's DELIRIUM).
