A
gang of white slavers lure beautiful young women into prostitution by
staging beauty contests in which the top prize is a Hollywood movie contract.
The winners are then drugged and sold to International sex traffickers
in Morocco.
A vile
and aggressively misogynist slab of sleaze from Swiss producer Erwin C.
Dietrich (who financed many of Jess Franco's darker pictures). It was
released to the U.S. Grindhouse market in '73 as Penthouse Girls
to capitalize on the popularity of the new skin magazine. A few years
later, 1975, it was re-released as Congressional Playgirls after
representatives Joe Waggoner (D-Louisiana) and Allan Howe (D-Utah), in
two separate incidents, were arrested for soliciting prostitutes.
A Swiss/German
film in English language; widescreen format (16:9), totally uncut version
