Based on a popular Japanese television series, this time Noriko Aota (of the singing group CC Girls) takes over the lead role for this big screen adaptation. Maria is - as the title suggests - a prisoner in a maximum security jail. She was convicted of killing the drug dealer who murdered her husband. The thing Maria misses the most is her son. She makes a deal with the government to become an undercover assassin targeting bad guys who have managed to operate outside of the law in exchange for some quality time with her little boy. Maria is trained as a skilled killer and then let out of prison long enough to complete her operation. After every job she returns to the jail, her sentence further reduced. In this particular film, the adventures are decidedly more 'adult' than the TV shows. Besides the expected gangster types, Maria must orchestrate the demise of a dangerous slave trafficker.
