and Something Waits In The Dark
It's 1891, Lt Claude
de Ross, a military doctor, and a few newly escaped convicts are shipwrecked
on a mysterious tropical island. They soon come across a strange couple:
the sadistic Edmund Rackham and the beautiful Amanda. The doctor discovers
that Amanda's father is a mad scientist experimenting on human-fish mutations.
Obviously inspired by the H G Well's classic story Island of Dr Moreau,
this one is generally considered director Martino's best horror venture
along side his TORSO
and THE
GREAT ALLIGATOR.
