Original
Italian Title: ADAMO ED EVA VS CANNIBALI
Also Known As: ADAM AND EVA: THE FIRST LOVE STORY and ADAM AND EVE: BLOODY GENESIS
director: Enzo Doria and Luigi Russo
starring: Mark Gregory · Andrea Goldman · Angel Alcazar
· Costantino Rossi · Pierangelo Pozzato
Much
artistic license was taken with this version of Genesis,
to the point of you-gotta-see-it-to-believe-it. Luigi Russo has
rewritten the word of God to include adultery, cavemen, dinosaurs (well,
a pterodactyl), wolves, and bloodthirsty cannibals. In fact, one of
the only things this adaptation has in common with the Bible is a talking
snake convinces Eve to eat a forbidden apple and then share it with
Adam. After this 'original sin, they are cast out of paradise and forced
to fend for themselves. The disgraced couple suddenly finds themselves
at odds with EVERYTHING. A confused Eve even has
a fling with a Cro-Magnon named Bearkiller (he may - in fact - be the
father of their son Cane [time to call the Morey Show?]).
But the real danger occurs when they are attacked and captured by hungry
cannibals.
Both
directors made only a few movies (opting mostly for TV work). They were
better known as producers, concentrating on Giallos and Spaghetti Westerns.
Preciously little is known about actress Andrea Goldman. This was her
only feature film. Some sources claim she appeared on the American television
show DALLAS for two episodes in 1985. Mark Gregory went from this debut
project to a series of war actioners (including The Last War Bus,
Just A Damned Soldier, Bronx Warrior and three installments
of Thunder) before getting out of the business in 1989.
The most reliable information confirms that Mr Gregory is working as
a market specialist in Milan today.
