Sylva Koscina & Rossano Brazzi in Euro Acid Thriller

director: Oscar Brazzi
starring: Sylva Koscina · Rossano Brazzi · Maitena Galli · Fikret Hakan · Aydin Tezeli

Rossano Brazzi plays Dr Andrea, a surgeon with second thoughts about his competence and problems with impotency. To regain confidence, Dr Andrea marries the much younger Barbara and decides to vacation in Istanbul with her and his sexy medical assistant. The three people move into a villa which seemingly was once occupied by a French sculptress who had committed suicide inside. There are also two sinister men stalking Dr Andrea while the villa's housekeeper is practicing some sort of weird witchcraft. Dr Andrea's impotency trouble soon disappears as he both consummates his marriage and seduces his assistant. The sexual tensions continue to climb at an alarming rate but the real problem is everybody's safety seems to be in jeopardy by the mysterious men in the shadows.

Oscar Brazzi directed ten movies in his relatively short career (1968-1980); six of them starred Rossano Brazzi, his older brother. Rossano was an accomplished actor, involved in over 200 projects before his death in 1994. He was best known to English-speaking audiences for his role of Emile de Becque in Rogers & Hammerstein's musical "South Pacific" (1958) but he also starred in numerous other Hollywood blockbusters ("Three Coins In The Fountain," "Barefoot Contessa," et al).

Co-star Sylva Koscina made 125+ films between 1955-1994. Her International career began with the Steve Reeves' HERCULES films where she played Iole (daughter of Pelias and bride of Hercules) in both HERCULES and HERCULES UNCHAINED. She is best known for her role in Fellini's "Juliet of the Spirits," but cult fans would probably choose JUSTINE DE SADE or CRIMES OF THE BLACK CAT. In 1975 - at age 42 - she posed for Playboy. Ms Kosina died December 26, 1994 at age 61; interestingly, this was two days after Oscar Brazzi passed from complication with a neural virus on December 24.

An Italian film with English subtitles; widescreen format (16:9), totally uncut version (93 min.), DVD encoded for ALL REGION NTSC, playable on any American machine. Extras include trailers.
