Director
Hasebe was one of the kingpins of Japanese exploitation, responsible
for thirty decades of films, from entries in the SCORPION
(SASSORI) series, to gangster films (BLOODY
TERRITORIES), to THE
NAKED SEVEN. He made this film back-to-back with his cult masterpieceASSAULT! JACK THE RIPPER. An exclusive interview with Mr

away in June of 2009; he was 77.
Toshiharu
Ikeda was the assistant director for this film. He would later develop
into an A-List horror director with films like EVIL
DEAD TRAP. Sadly, Mr Ikeda is also no longer with us. Even sadder,
he committed suicide by drowning in December 2010 at age 59.
Both
Mr Hasebe and Mr Ikeda will be missed. They were friends of ACC.
