A Martucci he wrote Al Brescia's NUDE
GIRL FOUND DEAD IN THE PARK. In 1980, he directed the sleazy
thriller TRHAUMA
(also known as IL MISTERO DELLA CASA MALEDETTA [Mystery of the Cursed
House]). A short while later, Gianni befriended filmmaker Lucio Fulci
who agreed to produce this nasty Templar monk tale. This would be Martucci's
final film as he has - instead - been helping control Fulci's estate
after the gore master's death.
A mysterious
man marries a young woman named Ramona and takes her to live at an inherited
mansion hidden away in the woods. She soon becomes frustrated with her
husband's secrecy, especially when it comes to his clandestine late
night activities in the old dungeon. Terror mounts as Ramona begins
to realize that she may be the intended sacrifice to a band of warlocks
known as the Red Monks. But - as it turns out - she has a few secrets
of her own.
