Bava's

become "One of the Greatest Horror Movies Ever Made" (Entertainment
Weekly). British actress Barbara Steele became an International icon
following her amazing performance in this film. Mario Bava quite literally
reinvented the horror movie as he infused perverse sexuality and graphic
sadism into the mix. And so, he changed the face of cinema forward. This
is the fully uncut International English language print.

THREE TALES OF FEAR [Black Sabbath] (1963)
director: Mario Bava
starring: Boris Karloff · Mark Damon · Michele Mercier ·
Lidia Alfonsi
Three tales of horror:
the first about a lesbian obsession, the second deals with the patriarch
of a family of ghouls, and the third features a nurse stalked by the spirit
of a dead medium. Boris Karloff is the host for the three stories and
- as such - sets the stage nicely. But the real star here is Mario Bava
and his extraordinary vision for a new direction in horror. This is the
fully uncut International Italian language print (with English subtitles).
An
Italian film; original widescreen format, uncut (92 minutes) in DVD encoded
for ALL REGIONS NTSC, playable on any American DVD machine; in English
language; Extras include original theatrical trailer.
