Mystery
and misinformation surrounds this film. The credit sequence lists 'Willy
Regant' as the director. Some sources say this is an alias for Gianni
Siragusa, a rather non-descript filmmaker who worked mostly as a script
supervisor for the industry (i.e., ADIOS
SABATA). Other sources say this is actually the final film for
Sergio Garrone who - in the past - had used the pseudonym Willy S. Regan
(most notably for DJANGO
THE BASTARD). Here, for this film, he is listed as the scriptwriter.
Sergio Garrone left the film business in 1989 to open a chain of restaurants
in Italy. Today he refuses to talk about his films.
Ajita
Wilson was rumored to be a transsexual actress - born George Wilson -
who underwent sex reassignment surgery in the mid '70s. This has never
been proven. In fact in was denied by both Jess Franco (who worked with
Ajita on SADOMANIA)
and Joe D'Amato. Ms Wilson died in May of 1987 from cerebral hemorrhage
after an automobile accident. She was 37 years old.
