Obviously
inspired by other European sadistic witchfinding films, e.g. MARK
OF THE DEVIL and WITCHES:
MARK OF THEDEVIL 2, this one had the reputation of being the most
brutal. The original version was banned most everywhere, eventually getting
a release in a severely edited form. Here is the story of three church
judges who set out to rid the Peyriac region of witches however, highpriest
Fossey falls in love with Catherine a lustful harlot accused of the craft.
A Spanish
film in English language; widescreen format, uncut version (91 min.),
