Truly, this film is
a perfect example of a lost movie. Produced by Lex Films (of Hong Kong)
in the early eighties, distribution was halted almost immediately after
several raids on theaters. The company soon went out of business but not
before releasing the title through QC Video. Again,distribution
(and lower-than-acceptable reproduction quality) kept the movie from reaching
a wider audience. Within a few years, all traces of LEWD LIZARD
were gone.
It has been whispered about, but few people have actually had the opportunity
to see it. The plot deals with thugs, prostitutes and lizards. A young
suitor (played by Norman Chu, who also co-directed) loses his girlfriend
to a wealthy pimp. Depressed, he begins stealing soiled lady-panties from
brothels and public restrooms. The guy mixes the juices from the underwear
with an 'aggressive compound' and injects the fluid into a bunch of lizards.
These little reptiles - now hooked on love jizz - become soldiers in his
personal battle against females. "I hate women!" he screams,
stretching helpless victims' legs apart, allowing the little creatures
to gain entrance. Lots of women die, driven mad with sexual ecstasy and
- of course - pain.
Note:
this limited disc from Long Shong is not perfect. While better than other
underground releases, it still suffers from the burnt subtitles which
often disappear out of frame (they are missing completely for about ten
minutes towards the beginning!). The video source is obviously stock tape
and - as you can see from the images on this page - the quality is adequate
at best.
