the years, this film has been released under a number of titles - including
LADY IN TROUBLE -
and is usually the victim of severe censorship edits, especially during
the notorious dungeon sequence.
It is most difficult to find the uncut print of POOR CECILY. But here
it is!
This is the mega-rare, full length version (which includes the complete
20 minute dungeon sequence).

Director Lee Frost
helmed 20+ exploitation films throughout the sixties and seventies, specializing
in crime, horror and erotica. He was affectionately known as the "King
of Grindhouse Cinema." Like so many other filmmakers at the time
- including George A Romero - he originally honed his craft by working
for a television commercial studio (Telepics). Frost is probably best
known for a gritty hardcore roughie called CLIMAX
OF BLUE POWER in 1975 and - of course - this film shot the previous
year. Mr Frost died in 2007 at age 71.
This motion picture
is what might have happened if the Marquis DeSade had written "Fanny
Hill." Set in 1792 France, it's the story of a poor little rich girl
named Cecily, sold into slavery to pay off her dead father's gambling
debts. The married upper-class couple who buy Cecily try to seduce her,
but she decides to have none of that and runs away. Cecily is soon captured
by a rich countess who introduces her to extreme sexual debauchery. But
one night, Cecily retaliates by robbing the houseguests and she slips
off to the harbor to buy a boat ticket to America. Unfortunately, Cecily
is caught, arrested and thrown into a dungeon where she is raped and tortured
mercilessly before given the option of becoming a sex slave for the aristocracy.
