films should never be funny, cute or (gasp) fuzzy. The purists will always
say Horror Films should be - well - Horrific. Yet, at the recent
FrightFest Film Festival, director Valladares was chastised for delivering
the "most reprehensible film of the year, maybe the decade."
Yes,
basically, this is an ultra-graphic tale of murder, rape, incest, torture,
drug dealers, deformity, prostitution, cannibalism, and - then - even
more rape and murder. It is most definitely not cute. It is relentlessly
horrific. You've been warned.
Deep
in the Chilean countryside, Ana and Anny live with their deformed brother
and are subjected to their drug-dealing father's sexual and sadistic whims.
After a dispute with the police (resulting in death and mutilation), they
flee and find refuge in a remote cabin hidden deep in the woods. Meanwhile,
a crime boss - convinced the girls have stolen his stash of drugs - sends
a rabid pack of thugs to find them.
