In 2008,
director Takita won the Academy Award (Best Foreign Language Film) for
his art movie DEPARTURES. Here is the skeleton in his closet, a kinky
pink film he directed in 1984. It's the story of a detective who goes
searching for the world's largest black pearl after hearing the words
"Pussy print" from a dying veteran who knows of its whereabouts.
This unconventional mystery plays against an odd backdrop of sexual encounters
on crowded subways.
