Corruption
was rampant in the Hong Kong Police Force before the establishment of
ICAC (Independent Commission Against Corruption) in 1974. It is believed
that more than $10 billion dollars went into the cops' pockets between
1963 and 1973. For this blockbuster film, director Wong collected a star-studded
cast and delivered the strong story of an idealistic university grad who
joins the newly formed ICAC (in 1972) to fight the war against corruption.
