Based on
an ultra-popular manga by Akira Miyashita, this is the directorial debut
by cult actor Tak Sakaguchi (Versus).
This biting movie follows several young men as they enter a secret Samurai
School that trains the elite males of Japan's society. The students are
tormented as part of their training and their defiance is punished by
weird tortures. Ultimately, despite the breathtaking visuals, this quirky
film is a scorching satire of the macho Japanese lifestyle.
