An down-on-his-luck gambler moves into an old haunted apartment building. Soon he joins his neighbors in an evening of friendly wagering. His luck dramatically changes and he starts to win. However, at the same time, the other residents begin a spiral of disappointments as one gentleman is exposed after an affair with a prostitute and his disabled wife becomes obsessed with a mysterious little girl. This is only the beginning as unexpected consequences loom on the horizon.
