The setting
is the near future, a Death Race has just begun and psychos in custom
cars are zooming across Japan. Meanwhile, activists in a small, rural
city are throwing a music festival to protest the construction of a nuclear
power plant. Tempers begin to flare. Death Wheelers, looking for fun,
decide to crash the protest and flatten some bodies. Then, when the Yukuza
gets involved, all hell breaks loose.
A domestic
release of a Japanese film; widescreen (1.85:1), uncut (116 min.) version
in DVD encoded for REGION ONE NTSC, playable on any American DVD machine;
in Japanese language with removable English or subtitles; extras include
trailers and a documentary on Burst City.
