1.[BOX] from
Japan - DIRECTOR - Takashi Miike STARRING - Kyoko Hasegawa & Atsuro
Watabe - In this minimalist fantasy, Miike constructs the story of Kyoko
who - at the tender age of 10, in a struggle with her twin sister for
the affection of their father - causes her rival to be burnt to death.
As a result Kyoko is plagued with a lifetime of recurring nightmares (40
minutes).
2.[DUMPLINGS] from HK- DIRECTOR - Fruit Chan STARRING - Miriam Yeung &
Bai Ling - An aging starlet turns to an eccentric doctor who offers special
"fountain of youth" dumplings made from aborted fetuses (40
minutes). ·An extended version of this segment DUMPLINGS is also
available!
3.[CUT] from Korea - DIRECTOR - Park Chan-Wook STARRING - Lee Byung-Hun
& Lim Won-Hee Director Park continues to explore his ghastly revenge
themes (also see OLD BOY and SYMPATHY FOR MR VENGEANCE) but this time
he concentrates on a arena of shocking, grim dark humor. This exercise
in cruelty tells the story of a failed actor who breaks into a director's
home and holds his family captive. The director is given the choice of
either killing his child or watching as his tormentor chops off the wife's
fingers one-by one (40 minutes). - HK import; widescreen uncut (total
