Aki,
is an overweight girl lives a hermit existence as a projectionist in a
neighborhood theater. She passes the time by killing prostitutes, butchering
them and cutting their stomachs out. Eventually, she becomes involved
in a deadly love/hate relationship with her beautiful friend, Ami. The
conflict between the two girls is heightened by the sexual aggressions
of a mutual boyfriend who beds them both. Ami gets pregnant; Aki gets
jealous. This is the catalysis for the film's blood-bath finale.
The
film is told as a first-person narrative, a technique virtually unused
in cinema art.
