One of the
best Anthony-Wong-in-a-psycho-frenzy movies, aided by a strong performance
by the underrated Veronica Yip.
Veronica plays the wife of a heart surgeon. She's home alone, recuperating
from eye surgery which has left her temporarily blind. Anthony Wong is
Sam Chu, a psychopath who has invaded her house with intentions of raping
and killing the young woman. He has been driven to complete madness by
the seduction and death of his own wife (seemingly at the hands of the
surgeon husband, Dr Jack Ng). During the next three days, while Dr Jack
is attending a conference in Macau, Sam Chu turns his violence on a would-be
burglar and a cop (the boyfriend of the maid), before concentrating on
the desirable Mrs Ng.
