Here is the domestic release of Steven Chow's masterpiece. Sort of a "Gangs of New York" meets "Yojimbo" comedy-adventure (with traditional kung fu thrown in to the mix for fun)! Set in the chaos of pre-Revolutionary China, small time thief Sing wants to be a member of the ruthless, underworld Axe Gang. He attempts to extort money from the locals of "Pig Sty Alley," but his attempts at intimidation actually attract the Axe Gang who want to teach the residents of the territory a lesson. Soon, after being threaten by the "world's greatest killer," Sing finds himself in the "protection" business. He must dig deep into his own psyche to discover his own special brand of martial arts (the lost Buddha Fist style) to became a kung fu master.

American release of a Chinese film; uncut (95 min.) version in DVD format, Region 1; in Chinese, English or French language with removable English and French subtitles. Special features include deleted scenes, outtakes & bloopers, director audio commentary, behind the scenes doumentary and Ric Meyer's interview with Steven Chow.
