Zatoichi,
the legendary blind swordsman, finds himself embroiled in a struggle between
the peasants and the gangland bosses. "The world is full of unwanted
souls," says Zatoichi. "I can't stand them if they don't make
the world a better place. And if I can't stand them, I kill them."
