This DVD contains
two movies from Ryuhei Kitamura, the director of VERSUS, AZUMI, SKYHIGH,
ARAGAMI and ALIVE.
The first film is SPEAR OF LONGINUS: In a military hospital, a mysterious
soldier arrives. He appears to be suffering from an animal bite. The other
soldiers are visibly shaken by his wound, but they listen as he recounts
"legend of the Spear of Longinus." This unusual tale heralds
beginning of a truly horrifying night.
The second movie (originally part of the 2002 omnibus JAM FILMS called
THE MESSENGER - REQUIEM FOR THE DEAD) is a very stylish story about an
underworld boss who is visited by a woman known as "the messenger."
Supposedly, she is a voodoo assassin capable of scaring a man to death.
But all is not necessarily what it seems...
